Grand Beach Area, Manitoba is located on Treaty No. 1 the original lands and waters of Anishinaabe, Ininiwak, Anishininiwak, Dakota, and Dene peoples, and on the homeland of the Métis Nation.
Located along the eastern shore of Lake Winnipeg, Canada’s sixth largest lake and next to the historic La Vérendrye Trail, are powdery white sand beaches and grass-topped dunes that make this one of the top beaches in North America. Grand Beach is the perfect destination for your next family vacation, an amazing place to swim, wind surf or hike. In winter, the area is known for ice fishing and snowmobiling. Two excellent self-guiding walks are in the area: Spirit Rock Trail and the Ancient Beach Trail, as well as a close drive to Broken Head Trail, Pine Falls, and the South Beach Casino. Grand Beach also features a campground, an outdoor amphitheater, picnic shelters, restaurants, concession and wheelchair access to the beach.
